As a proponent for financial education, Brandon graduated from Western Oregon University with a B.S. in Business Management. Since graduating, he has experience in sales, business operations, freelance writing and online and direct marketing.
With a passion for web marketing, Brandon holds a position at Xenium, a Professional Employer Organization and Human Resources consulting company in Portland, Oregon. His majority focus remains on lead generation by means of email, social media, SEO, and newsletter marketing, all while managing and maintaining the corporate website. Brandon believes that web marketing, specifically search engine marketing (SEM), is one of the most important areas to focus on as a small business, and will be for some time.
As someone who believes in self-education, Brandon has come to realize the limits of formal education; which is what brings him to create the Small Business Marketing Blog. He is a major advocate for developing habits that sustain short and long-term goals. From his personal experience, Brandon knows that by seeking knowledge and ideas from others, it can be the greatest educational route taken as an individual.
Brandon is also an avid reader and remains open to new ideas and opinions. He regularly sets aside time to read, write and listen to educational tapes and podcasts to continue learning at a high level. Brandon encourages others to self-educate in their free time as well. “Living in the Information Age has given people opportunities and knowledge they may have had to seek out in the past. With one click, I can read an article on real estate investing or listen to a podcast on web analytics; individuals should really begin taking advantage of this free information to stay sharp.”

Great stuff Brandon, I will definately be tracking this blog – very informative and helpful with the stuff I am doing. I am a huge proponent of financial education as well, especially in a time where everyone just wants tips, education is the real key.
Josh, I very much appreciate that. My goal is to share what I know with others so we can improve business altogether. Keep doing what you are doing, Josh. I love your video blogs by the way, keep those up!
